Safety & Quality

Built to Pass Inspection the First Time

Safety Is Not Negotiable

Every A1 crew works under our written Injury and Illness Prevention Program: PPE without exception, containment and masking before a nozzle ever opens, daily housekeeping, and full coordination with the GC’s site-specific safety program. On our jobs, the trades around us stay protected too — masked, covered, and clean.

Protection Is Half the Job

Overspray control, dust mitigation, and floor protection are built into every mobilization — not added after a complaint. High-end finishes and active facilities get the same containment discipline we bring to every site.

Quality You Can Inspect

Fireproofing only counts if it passes. We verify substrate condition and adhesion before spraying, apply to the specified thickness and density, and photo-document conditions as the work goes in — so when the special inspector shows up, the paperwork is already done. The same discipline carries into our commercial painting: surface prep verified, film build to spec, punch lists that come back short.

What do protective coatings help protect against?
Protective coating systems can help reduce corrosion, oxidation, moisture intrusion, environmental wear, and surface deterioration on exposed steel and commercial surfaces.
Where are protective coatings commonly used?

Protective coatings are commonly used on structural steel, exposed commercial surfaces, industrial environments, parking structures, exterior steel components, and moisture-prone areas.

Why is surface preparation important before coating application?
Proper surface preparation helps support coating adhesion, coverage consistency, and long-term performance. Environmental conditions and coating compatibility also play an important role.
Can protective coatings help reduce long-term maintenance?

Protective coating applications can help reduce environmental wear and surface deterioration, which may help lower maintenance needs and improve long-term durability.

What types of projects use protective coatings?
Protective coatings are used across commercial, industrial, hospitality, warehouse, infrastructure, and specialty construction projects throughout California.
